Who is Yimes?

Yimes is the ambient production duo of Andrew Taetz and John Hanson. Formed in 2021, the pair came together with a shared vision: to create a healing, New Age-inspired album rooted in their mutual love of artists like Sigur Rós. Their debut, Yimes, is a richly textured collaboration that bridges their creative communities in San Francisco and Detroit, weaving together organic instrumentation, ambient soundscapes, and emotional depth.

The Music

Their first session began in July 2021.

It all begins with an idea. Taetz and Hanson agreed they would one day make the best New Age album ever(or at least their attempt). This dream became real when they booked some studio days in San Francisco in July of 2021
